Cookie Policy

Which cookies Remove Music From Video uses for sign-in, payments and analytics, why each one is needed, and how to change your choice with the consent banner.

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar browser storage Remove Music From Video (removemusicfromvideo.com) uses, what each one is for, and how you can change your choice. "We" and "us" mean Remove Music From Video, the operator of removemusicfromvideo.com. For everything else we do with your information, see our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way but is only read by the page itself, never sent to our servers on its own. We use both, and only for the purposes below. We do not run advertising, and we do not use advertising or social media cookies.

Cookies the site needs to work

These are set only when you use the feature they belong to, and the site cannot work without them, so they are not covered by the consent banner.

  • Sign-in session. When you sign in, we set a secure, HTTP-only session cookie so you stay signed in. It lasts up to 7 days and is removed when you sign out.
  • Signed-in hint (auth_hint). A small cookie that only says "this browser is signed in", so public pages know whether to load your account. It carries no password or token.
  • Bot protection. Our contact and sign-in forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated scripts. Cloudflare may store a short-lived token in your browser while you fill in the form.
  • Payments. Checkout happens on the page of our payment partner Waffo, which sets the cookies it needs for a secure payment on its own domain.

Settings saved in your browser

We keep a few small settings in local storage on your device:

  • your cookie choice from the banner, so we do not ask again;
  • your light or dark theme;
  • a short copy of your sign-in state, plan and credit balance, so the header shows them without waiting (refreshed every few minutes);
  • where you first came from (such as a search engine) and the first page you opened, kept only where analytics cookies are allowed, and attached to your account once when you sign up.

Your video, its audio track and the separated tracks are never stored in cookies or local storage.

Analytics

  • Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages and features people use. In regions where consent is required, such as the EU, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics does not set cookies until you accept them in the banner; before that it only receives anonymous, cookie-free signals. Elsewhere it sets its cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, kept up to 2 years) when you visit.
  • Plausible Analytics counts visits without cookies and without collecting personal data, so it does not need consent.

Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you decline, Google Analytics stops using cookies from then on. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; if you delete the sign-in cookie you will need to sign in again.

Changes to this policy

If we add a new kind of cookie, we will update this page and the date at the top before we start using it.
